Ray Ban
Ray Ban is a sunglasses manufacturer that was created by Bausch & Lomb in 1937. At this time they were intended for use by the US Army Air Corps, although the name has since then become a luxury brand that is now owned by Luxottica Group.
Ray Ban sunglasses come in a variety of different frames including metal, titanium, plastic, and combination. They also come in a variety of different lenses including the polarized range, 615 LT lenses, and the B15 XLT lenses.
One unique aspect of Ray Ban’s sunglasses product line is that unlike other high end brands, the company produces multiple collections for all age groups and genders so that no one is left out.
The Ray Ban collection is most noted for its standard green tinted frames that are either framed by rounded square green tinted lenses although colour has slowly seeped its way into both gender collections and violet, brown, and blue are making large appearances in the current collections.
The metal lines usually have rounded lenses that are held together with a double nose piece to provide style and comfort.
On the other hand, the steel frames usually have wrap around rimless frames that stretch back to provide maximum protection and coverage to the eye.
The children’s sunglasses collection is quite colourful consisting mostly of speckled frames that are plastic with lightly tinted frames that may make adults envious.
Style lines include highstreet, active lifestyle, optical, remasters, technology, and virtual mirror which is where the limited edition designs are usually found.
