Oliver Peoples is a distinctive brand of eyewear that has a prestigious reputation internationally.  It was founded in 1987 after Dennis and Larry Leight bought a vintage estate collection of American eyewear and was inspired to create a classic collection of sunglasses and optical glasses.

With this inspiration in mind, they crafted the line of Oliver Peoples sunglasses that embody the spirit of the 1950’s and 1960’s making them timeless iconic pieces of fashion eyewear.

Today the collection includes filigreed rimless frames alongside metal frames as well as a smaller collection of clip-on lenses to provide maximum protection from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays.

The brand was born in Southern California America and combines elements of film, sport, fashion, and art in each frame and enjoys a large celebrity consumer base.

Each of the sunglasses are made in Italy from Italian materials and shipped around the globe to boutiques and retailers who feature the iconic brand.

The sunglasses are named after people who inspired their design such as the Tiffany inspired by Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and take on a spirit of their own.

The current line of sunglasses are oblong large circles that are housed in mostly plastic frames although metal does make an appearance in the more basic 50’s frames.  While the sunglasses may appear simple, they are fully polarized and capture the elegance of the vintage look without sacrificing safety or fashion forward sensibility.
