Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana commonly referred to simply as D&G is a luxury fashion brand that started out in Italy and has grown to include many different luxury products such as their renowned line of designer sunglasses.
The company is known in particular for its use of geometric shapes that are sharply brought out by the use of black, the combination of which was started by Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce.
Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are known for their high performance, comfortable wear, unique style, and their durability among other important factors such as high ultra violet ray protection.
The male collection of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are best known for their super slim steel frames that are combined with thick dark black tinted lenses. There are also extremely masculine steel frames that are thick around ears for a more chiselled look.
The female’s collection of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses is best recognized by the interlocking D&G often found in gold in silver along the side of the ear piece and medium black plastic frames. Unlike other brands of women’s sunglasses, D&G has not followed the trend of super round lenses preferring instead to feature moderate delicate lenses and frames.
Both collections also include a select number of sheer lenses that are not framed, but instead resemble sleek lenses that wrap around the face and extend back towards the ear hinges. Occasionally, a leopard striped pair of sunglasses will appear in the women’s designs, but for the most part the collection for both sexes is entirely black.
