Chanel

Chanel is a major high fashion brand that was founded in Paris by Coco Chanel, which specializes in haute couture designs that include a full line of designer sunglasses.

Today Chanel sunglasses are easily one of the most recognized names when it comes to high end fashion and luxury fashion items.

Although Chanel was started as a perfume brand, it expanded its scope of products to include sunglasses and other items such as cosmetics, clothes, and shoes in the 1990’s and opened many new international boutique stores.

The signature logo of an authentic pair of Chanel sunglasses is of two interlocking ‘C’s with one that faces backward and the other forwards.  At the moment Chanel is engaged in a legal battle to protect their logo from counterfeiters.

Currently, Chanel has more than 200 boutiques across the globe that are located in high end shopping areas and malls as well as inside of several major international airports.

One benchmark of Chanel sunglasses is that the entire line looks different without too many similarities making each pair unique in its own right.  From masquerade sunglasses to jewelled frames to ski goggles every pair of Chanel sunglasses is significantly separate from each other.

The line also includes a few basic frames that are lower key although still striking given small changes such as hexagon frames, oblong frames, unique nosepieces, and multi-coloured frames.  Most frames have standard tints and all offer top of the line protection from ultraviolet rays in addition to their fashion forward sense of style.
